COVID-19 SMART CITY INITIATIVE
The project is a visionary community endeavor that involves collaboration with government and council bodies to enhance Smart City initiatives. This includes a multifaceted approach, notably the creation of a comprehensive visual language and way-finding system that serves as a guide and information source for the community, particularly during the challenges posed by a global pandemic.
A distinctive visual graphic system was meticulously developed to effectively communicate with a community representing a remarkable 125 different nationalities and languages. This diversity necessitated an innovative approach that could bridge language barriers and cater to a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Operating within the framework of a smart city concept, the project’s implementation encompassed various aspects, such as the introduction of new signage and street demarcations. These elements were thoughtfully designed to seamlessly integrate into the urban environment while ensuring optimal functionality and accessibility for all residents.
By engaging with cutting-edge technology and design thinking, this speculative community project responds to the evolving needs of a diverse and dynamic population. It not only enhances the overall urban experience but also sets a precedent for future-focused urban planning and design that caters to the needs of an increasingly interconnected and cosmopolitan society.
