CONCERT FROCK

BackStage Music transforms a World Square shop front into a social and creative hub for playful and challenging musical experiences celebrating International Woman’s Day. Over multiple evenings the artwork emerged, constructed slowly in the space, moving workers built a mystery object a 2m high dressmakers mannequin dressed in a beautifully made giant sized paper dress. On the fourth and final evening a curious musical performance occurs with the room wrapped in a 80m roll of drawn paper. Life is full of strange rituals. Artists include Soprano Jane Sheldon, percussionist Niki Johnson, Damian Barbeler, Tim Jetis, dressmaker Maria Skroza and performers Artemis Wever-Jetis and Maggie Barbeler.
